| Description: | April 9 & 10, Orleans, MA -- Gloriæ Dei Cantores (Singers to the glory of God) presents a concert at the Church of the Transfiguration on Saturday, April 9, at 7:30 PM, and Sunday, April 10, at 3:00 PM. The Lenten theme of the musical selections suggests the juxtaposition of joy in the midst of penitence and suffering, and features repertoire that spans both centuries and continents. Works include “Three Motets” Op. 259 by Hovhaness (celebrating the 100th anniversary of his birth), the “Missa Choralis” by Liszt (in tribute to the 200th anniversary of his birth), “Fürchte dich nicht” S.228 by J.S.
