| Description: | Newman Congregational Church, U.C.C., is pleased to present a concert of trumpet and organ music by Alexander Pfeifer (Trumpet) and Frank Zimpel (Organ), both from Leipzig, Germany. As a duo, Pfeifer and Zimpel have performed more than 400 concerts throughout the world, including concerts in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Egypt, Russia, and the USA. Both performers have won numerous music awards in their native Germany and they have produced 5 compact disks together. This trumpet and organ concert will feature works by Charpentier, Albinoni, J.S. Bach, Telemann, Mendelssohn, Fauré, and Händel. The Organ Concert will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 4:00 pm. The public is cordially invited and there is a suggested donation of $10. A reception will follow the concert.
