Description: | I will be coaching a masterclass consisting of registration. This informative masterclass will give you some new ideas and proper technique on how to register your electronic or pipe, doesn't matter what you play on at all and have those people come up to you and say "Gee, I didn't know it could sound like that!" This will also give some exciting new ideas on how to use pistons and couplers to its maximum! This is a MUST for every amateur, professional, semi-professional, church or hobby organist. Everyone at some point needs to understand how to register the organ no matter what your background. Now you may say I've been an organist for many years and graduated from the top music school in the world. I think I know how to register an organ. That may be true but it never hurts to share your talent and maybe you might get some ideas from this masterclass that you can take and make yourself an even better organist. I will also be coaching on how to "spice" up your hymn playing and organ repertoire to make it more effective and useful to your congregation or audience . You owe this masterclass to yourself and your students to become even more successful in playing the organ. I only ask that you either bring a hymn or something from any period of organ music, doesn't matter what it is as long as you KNOW it and you ENJOY playing it. This will be held at the First Congregational Church of Warwick on February 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. The address is 715 Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick, RI. Please send a courtesy email or phone call so I can get a count for materials to pass out and coordinate a "hands on" segment for those wishing to play for me. My email is _Kev964@aol.com_ (mailto:Kev964@aol.com) or you can reach me at my church office at St. Mary's RC Church in Newport at 401-847-0475. Lets make this an EXCELLENT turnout. You will only be hurting yourself and your students if you do not attend! |
