| Description: | Robert Seymour Bridges crossed his last bridge this day 75 years ago. He was an Engligh Poet Laureate, compiler of the Yattendon Hymnal, physician and translator of hymns including "The duteous day now closeth" "When morning gilds the skies" and "Ah, Holy Jesus." Curiously he gave up being a physician because of ill health. |
